It is funny when I hear my parents say that I am known for my hair. It is something that defines who I am. It is what makes me me….Owen King Coleman. So with that being said, I started to think about all the different styles I have had over the past (almost three) years. So join me on this fun “hairy” tale. It's Scary!

The day I was born I was I had minimally no trace of hair. It seemed for so many months-who are we kidding-the first year of my life I was just going to be sporting the bald look like my daddy. Maybe that is why so many people immediately thought I looked just like my daddy. We were both sporting the same dew!

Now we move to when I was about 18 months old and I began to sprout wings off the side of my head. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done when it came to styling my hair because it truly had a mind of its own for the few strands that were starting to show themselves. As we got a bit longer on top; one might confuse it with a mullet.

When my curls really started to come out we saw that my hair also had different looks depending on what activity I happened to be involved with at the time. Here is an example of my curls sporting the wet look. Curly, short and tight to my head.

Here we have the sporting it proud look. Groomed with a nice product, trimmed neatly, and captured at just the right camera angle.

Then here we have the look of when the wind has taken hold. I call this the tussled look.

Then FINALLY, we have the epic white man’s fro. From this my newest nickname was developed; frOwen. Needless to say that over the years I have embraced my hair, worn it proudly, and truly created a name for myself.
